Boathouse Winter Triathlon

The Ely Winter Festival is from February 1st through the 10th. We are sponsoring the Boathouse Winter Triathlon again this year. It's on February 2nd, 2013. Last year's event was an a beautiful frosty morning. This year's might be, too. Get a partner. Ski, snowshoe, drink some water. On Miner's Lake and the Trezona Trail in the heart of Ely, MN.

HIDDEN VALLEY HOLIDAY GAMES!

Update! The Games were a terrific success. There were relays, races and golf balls (particularly challenging). We hope to see everyone and their friends and family next year, December 28th-29th, 2013. There will be plenty to keep it fun, fast and friendly.

The Ely Nordic Ski Club wanted to celebrate the end of the year, the start of winter and being together with friends and family. We wanted to get get a jump on the ski season in Ely and offer another way for people to spend time during the holidays. So we’re hosting an event for everybody, athlete, spectator and anybody in between.

The Hidden Valley Holiday Games.

Come early for the relays. Watch young kids sprint it out for prizes! Then line the trails to watch fast skiers compete over and over. There will be concessions and a bonfire. You can see it all

At Hidden Valley alone? We’ll help find you a team for the relays.

Stay for the next morning’s events. We have both a 15km classic and skate race for the serious racer and the 7km tour for the person who wants to leisurely take in the beautifully groomed trails.

Enjoy yourselves, the company, the surroundings and the skiing, sledding, and whatever else happens!

Race day registration only. Sunday's races may be registered for on Saturday.

Costs: Saturday Night Fever Sprints: $15. The Last Gasp 15km/7km: $30/$15. Barnefunnet: $5. Everything else is free. Get out there!
