Everyone is welcome. Come on out and join us for the annual ENSC general membership meeting at the Chalet starting with a potluck lunch at 5:00 P.M. followed by the Board Meeting at 6:00 P.M. Hear about all the projects completed this year and the plans for next year. See you there.
Some sections of some Hidden Valley ski trails are groomed and skiable. All trails have sections that are icy and rutted with dirt and rocks showing in random spots. Great care needs to be taken skiing these trails now. The weather forecast is for more days above freezing in the day and below freezing over night, with no significant snow in sight. Please check the trail grooming board at the trail head kiosk for current information before skiing.
Recent rains and warm weather have melted much of our snow base and returning cold weather now leaves frozen slush with ruts and rocks showing. Trails are not formally closed but skiing is not recommended. What we need now is more snow. Stay tuned.
Hidden Valley is getting a little more freah snow tonight and with cold temperatures the grooming is going well. It is still early to declare victory but our hopes are high that ski conditions are improving. Here's hoping the cold weather holds.
Lots of fresh snow and the groomers are busy, but we do not consider Hidden Valley ski trails open for the season quite yet. There are still dangerous rocky areas and great care is advised using any of the trails. We also still have trees down and snow laden brush over many trails. It would be best to let the groomers do their work and we will keep you posted.
