Ely Youth Ski League (EYSL)

Hidden Valley Chapter

The Ely Youth Ski League (EYSL) is a volunteer organization that offers children between the ages of 5 and 11 the opportunity to learn and enjoy cross country skiing. The program emphasizes fun and fitness as the primary elements of this family activity.

Ski sessions will be held on (dates coming soon) from 2:00-3:00 pm. Emails and Facebook posts will be sent if a session is canceled due to weather.

2023 Season Information:

To register for EYSL, please use the link below to purchase a family membership to the Ely Nordic Ski & Bike Club ($75 per household for the season). Print or screenshot your receipt as this will be required for registration and equipment rental. Then click on the registration button below to register your skiers. Registration is $20 per skier, $60 family max; for those renting equipment there will be a $50 check dated April 15, 2023, as a deposit. Once the equipment is returned this check will be destroyed; if the equipment is not returned at the end of the season the check will be cashed.

Equipment pick-up day will be at the Hidden Valley Chalet Dec 5 from 3-5pm. If you are unable to attend these times equipment can be picked up at our first scheduled session. ***Masks are required when picking up equipment.*** There will be an ENSBC board member present to register households and collect payments as well.

With COVID still prevalent we will not be using the chalet this season. Snacks will be given out by coaches during ski time. Parents with younger skiers may want to stay nearby in case assistance is needed in the outhouse or for a warm-up in a vehicle. We hope to have a fire near the chalet during all sessions; this will be dependent on volunteers being able to tend the fire.

Volunteers make EYSL and the Ely Nordic Ski and Bike Club happen and are always appreciated. If you are able to help on the leaderboard, coaching, with trail maintenance, or anything else, please let us know!
